 There are couple of Application to make portable apps.

  1. Cameyo - One of the best opensource portable apps.it takes snapshot - before and after installtion
    takes time to make the apps but can be used for large software.Tested on Abode captivate.
  2. Enigma - Use this if application is small ,this can be used after installation is done.and is quite fast.
    but it cant virtualized very big apps like captivate/microsoft office etc.Good for single binaries etc.
